Tracie Penwarden was born in Andover, Hampshire and started her musical career as a pianist and bassoonist, but it was her passion for singing that led her to Trinity College of Music, London from where she graduated in 1995, claiming the Singing Department Prize in her postgraduate year. Tracie has toured the country singing the title roles in oratorios and has sung in many of the London concert venues including a “Promenade” concert in the Royal Albert Hall. Tracie’s engagements have included performing classical recitals on board Mediterranean and Baltic cruise liners. Now living in Milnthorpe with her husband, Ian and their son, Austin, she leads a busy life, singing as a soloist with several local choral societies, as a recitalist and as a teacher of singing.
